Dr Candemir is a board-certified plastic surgeon, certified by the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (TSPRAS) and the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). He performs his procedures at Orion Surgery Centre in Istanbul.
Though born in Niğde, a historical city in Central Anatolia, Dr Candemir eventually moved to the nearby Kayseri in 1995 after being accepted into one of Turkey’s most prestigious research universities, Erciyes University. Subsequently, a few years after graduation, he started his speciality training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Ankara Ataturk Training and Research Hospital (which has since been moved to Ankara City Hospital) — later, he also served as the Chief Assistant of the very department. During this time, Dr Candemir also received a 1-year training and education under a scholarship at the SHOWA Medical University School of Medicine in Tokyo in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Following completion of his speciality training in 2010, Dr Candemir joined Keçiören Training and Research Hospital in Ankara as a specialist. And the next year, he went to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles to learn at their Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department for 6 weeks.
In 2015, Dr Candemir was awarded a Young Plastic Surgeons Scholarship by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS). This enabled him to learn more about cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breasts from the then Secretary General of the organisation and study at the Sapienza University, S. Andrea Hospital Plastic Surgery department in Rome, allowing him to further develop his expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
Dr Candemir performs non-surgical cosmetic treatments using dermal fillers, Botox, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), salmon DNA, and mesotherapy, among others.
He has also been prolific in his research and academic endeavours, with over 100 scholarly contributions, including publications in national and international journals as well as presentations at scientific meetings.
His publications have appeared in many renowned journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery, and Annals of Plastic Surgery, in addition to others.
Dr Candemir also has memberships in several scientific organisations, such as the European Plastic Surgery Research Council and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association.
When he is not in the office, Dr Candemir enjoys spending time with his family and listening to rock music.
