Are Emily Blunt’s Plastic Surgery Rumours True?

Loved by millions around the globe, Emily Blunt is someone who many people have watched growing up. While her role as Miranda Priestly’s assistant will forever be etched in the minds of The Devil Wears Prada fans, there have been many other iconic films and franchises that she has been a part of, a recent example of it being Oppenheimer.

Even though Emily received much praise for her acting in the film, one thing that caught the attention of many people was the actress’ appearance. Emily Blunt plastic surgery was rumoured, while others thought it was nothing more than the work of some injectables. So, did the Hollywood A-lister actually have any treatment? Let’s find out.

Who Is Emily Blunt?

Emily Blunt is a British actress who’s very famously been a part of films such as Sicario, A Quiet Place, Mary Poppins, Edge of Tomorrow and Adjustment Bureau, among many others.

After making her debut as Juliet while still a teenager, within a few years, Emily made her way to the silver screen through My Summer of Love, which was then followed by her role as Emily Charlton in The Devil Wears Prada, in which she inarguably stole the show in every scene she was in.

She was also very briefly part of the small screen, where she appeared in different TV movies like Gideon’s Daughter and Boudica, as well as TV serials like Henry VIII. However, with her career in Hollywood taking off, she was seen in more and more bigger films.

After her recent success in Oppenheimer, she has also garnered quite a lot of praise as Jody in The Fall Guy. This year will also see the release of another of her films – IF – written, directed and produced by her husband, John Krasinski.

Has Emily Blunt Had Plastic Surgery?

From her photos, it doesn’t look like Emily Blunt had any plastic surgery. The actress hasn’t admitted to going under the knife either. However, it is possible that she has had some cosmetic injectables like dermal fillers to enhance her facial volume.

Though cosmetic injectables are invasive, even if minimally, they’re not the same as getting plastic surgery. And on that, Emily also made her stance clear back in 2019 in an interview with woman & home:

“I love imperfection – I appreciate that every line on someone’s face bears a story, and is the result of experience.

In Hollywood, people are suffocated by plastic surgery, but striving for an impassive perfection isn’t something I ever found beautiful or have tried to achieve myself.

I believe in taking care of your skin and your general health, but women who spend too much time trying to look perfect lose some of the magic about them.”

It doesn’t seem like she’s changed her mind about that (yet)!

Which Cosmetic Treatments Did Emily Blunt Allegedly Have?

Emily Blunt is believed to have had the following treatments:

Cheek Fillers

Many people have noticed Emily’s cheeks look much fuller than they used to. There’s an overall widening of the middle portion of her face, which could possibly be due to dermal filler injections in her cheeks, maybe even the tear troughs, as well as the temples (as the area around her eyes also looks a bit widened).

Lip Fillers

In addition to her cheeks, another noticeable change has been in the overall volume of Emily’s lips, which were on the relatively thinner side compared to now.

Especially her lower lip used to be heavier than the upper one, however, in her more recent appearances, her upper lip also looks quite full. This could, again, possibly be the result of lip filler injections.

Botox

The smoothness of Emily’s visage has also drawn some attention, leading some to speculate that she might have had botox. It may be possible, but the actress always has had fantastic skin to begin with, so we aren’t really sure about this one.

Since botox stops muscle contraction where it’s injected, it can help smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. Done not quite so well, it can give the face a “frozen” expression, which is why it’s important to find a good practitioner.

TL;DR

It doesn’t look like Emily Blunt’s had plastic surgery of any sort. However, she might possibly be experimenting with fillers and botox, which might be one explanation for why her face looks so different. At the end of the day, the decision to get plastic surgery is a personal one, so it’s all up to the actress what she chooses to do with her body.

If you are also considering getting plastic surgery or any cosmetic treatment, make sure to find an experienced and board-certified practitioner who can meet your needs in the best possible way.
