Your Biggest Online Consultation Q&As During the Coronavirus Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has created an atmosphere of uncertainty around the world. What we all took for granted in our day-to-day life is being challenged by the current circumstances. It seems as if things have come to a standstill.

But the changes have been so abrupt and sudden that many questions need to be answered. It is the only way we can transition smoothly to our normal lives once things get back to their original pace. Many people who were seeking surgery in Turkey are feeling anxious and stressed about this delay. The mental health of many has been exacerbated by the lockdown, where everyone has been confined to their homes.

However, these are all necessary measures, which are needed in order to combat the spread of this virus. We stay home, we save lives. Even if your immune system is perfectly healthy, that might not be the case for people around you. That is why the utmost care is needed. Longevita is doing its part for ensuring the safety of its patients.

We want you to enjoy the results of your surgery by being happy and healthy. In the situation of lockdown in Turkey, many people have questions and enquiries about the future. The situation is tough for everyone, and we want to put your mind at ease as much as we can. This guide will make sure of that.

Of the consultation questions that we’ve been receiving as of late, five of them have been most commonly asked. Here you can find the most asked questions along with their answers during the coronavirus pandemic:

  • Are You Still Performing the Surgeries During Coronavirus Pandemic?

Absolutely not. The coronavirus pandemic has developed a dire situation of stressing the healthcare systems of many countries around the world. Because of the rising number of cases, hospitals are being burdened beyond measure.

However, the governments of countries are doing all they can by opening new hospitals (city hospitals in Turkey), dedicating large amounts of funds to stop the spread of coronavirus, distributing safety masks, and developing testing kits while working on a vaccine.

Elective surgeries that do not involve medical emergencies have come to a halt. Hospitals are only carrying out essential surgeries. As cosmetic surgeries fall under the former category, all those seeking them will have to wait until the situation cools down. For now, all hospitals are concerned with taking care of coronavirus patients. They have pushed off many surgeries so that more room can be created for the patients infected by the coronavirus pandemic.

But that is not to say that Longevita won’t be there to help you anymore. Although the current circumstances have made it difficult to conduct face-to-face consultations, we are available online during weekdays so you can have a free consultation with us. Moreover, you can book a treatment with us by paying a small amount of deposit. We are closely following the coronavirus pandemic guidelines provided by the Health Minister.

  • Once I’ve Paid the Deposit, for How Long is it Going to be Valid?

Many people have been wondering about this question. It is understandable considering they have no idea of the time frame in which the procedure can be done. This is the state of affairs all around the world, at the moment.

Many operations have been shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. No one can say for sure when things will return to normalcy. Restrictions have been eased in China, New Zealand and Germany. It took many months for these countries to recover from the pandemic, it still hasn’t completely, but things look quite positive.

Understandably there’s been an atmosphere of fear, which is why we have extended the validity of the treatment plans till 30 June 2021. We hope that things can get better in the upcoming months.

If a patient has booked a treatment with us, they can come to Turkey anytime they want until 30 June of 2021. This is because we want you to undertake your journey with Longevita in complete comfort. If you’ve made the deposit payment, rest assured, it is completely safe so, you have nothing to worry about.

  • If I Make a Booking Now, Can I Come for the Surgery in Turkey?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot. As there is a citywide lockdown in both Turkey and the UK, you can’t come to us for surgery at the moment. Currently, the clinics aren’t performing cosmetic surgeries. The coronavirus pandemic has affected millions of lives, and until the situation cools down a bit, you should observe all precautionary measures. This includes staying at home.

However, we are still making treatment bookings through our website online. If you’re worried that you won’t be able to have a consultation with us before that, it won’t be the case. We will offer it to you online, free of charge, of course. After the booking, you’ll have to wait for the course of events to unfold. We hope you can come soon for your surgery with Longevita.

  • Do You Have Any Idea when Coronavirus Pandemic Will be Over?

At the moment, there are only estimates, but no one can say what the future holds. The times are very unpredictable. Depending on the situation, the period of lockdown is extended as needed.

Initially, the flights were going to be resumed on 17 April in Turkey. However, the number of cases has crossed more than 100K. There is going to be no flight before the 31st of May. We just can say that the situation gets better each day in Tukey for the last 10 days. We all hope to turn into normal life as soon as possible.

All we can do for now is to be patient and hope for the best.

  • Can I get a Refund for my Deposit?

At Longevita, there’s no refund option after our cooling-off period, which lasts for the first 14 calendar days after the treatment has been booked by paying a deposit.

We understand that many of our patients were looking forward to getting their surgery, but safety should be our priority these days. For many people, it can be difficult to take time out for surgery. For that, you can benefit from our travel plan extension time until the end of June 2021.

If the lockdown continues, Longevita may give you extra time to decide on your surgery time. We will make sure to provide you with multiple options because we’re on your side and want you to feel well, both physically and mentally.

What you Should Do during Coronavirus Pandemic

These days, you should focus on taking care of yourself. Moreover, at times when you do go out of the house, you should make sure to wear a mask, maintain distance and, of course, wear gloves. If you feel sick, then do not go outside. These are trying times, but we can overcome this together.

A lot of people have been planning on getting surgery in Turkey for years. You can try to engage yourself in some activities at home to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied. Finding yourself a new hobby or working on the old ones is a good idea, especially for those who cannot find any time for them. Moreover, you can talk with your loved ones. You can also try and make a list of all the things that you’d want to do after things have gotten normal.

All we can do right now is hope that the world recovers as soon as possible. Soon after, you can fly to Turkey for your surgery and maybe have some holidays along the way. If you’re confused about the dates of your surgery, you can contact us to schedule them at times that’ll suit you the best. We’re available for you.
